Hosted by the Swedish Government and jointly chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Maud Oloffsson, Sweden, Vice-President, Commissioner Günther Verheugen, European Commission and Minister of Economy Andrej Vizjak, Slovenia.
In preparation of the Conference, VINNOVA and the Nordic Innovation Centre has agreed to set up and manage an Innovation Journalism (InJo) project arguing the rationale of European activity and challenge the role of European Medias in communicating the complex message of innovation to the normal European citizen.
As of the strongly indicated interest by Commissioner Janez Potocnik, European Commission, he has been offered to chair the project and to invite high level representatives of European Medias to join the project.
